🎥 What You Need:
- A tripod (to keep the camera locked in one position)
- FCPX (Final Cut Pro X)
- At least two takes of you acting in different parts of the frame
✅ Step-by-Step: Cloning Yourself in FCPX
1. Record Your Takes
- Place your camera on a tripod and don’t move it.
- Film yourself acting in one part of the frame (e.g., left side).
- Without touching the camera, record another take of you acting in a different part of the frame (e.g., right side).
2. Import and Stack the Clips
- Import your takes into FCPX.
- Place the first clip on the main timeline.
- Drag the second clip and place it directly above the first clip in the timeline (called layering).
3. Mask the Top Clip
- Select the top clip in the timeline.
- Go to the Effects Browser → Search for “Draw Mask”.
- Drag the Draw Mask effect onto the top clip.
4. Draw the Mask
- Use the Draw Mask tool to outline just the portion of the frame where the subject (you) is located in the top clip.
- Carefully create a clean mask around your clone. This will let the bottom clip show through on the other side.
5. Feather the Mask
- In the Draw Mask controls, increase the feather to soften the edges and blend both clips naturally.
- Adjust opacity or mask points if needed.
6. Fine-Tune Timing
- Make sure both versions of you don’t overlap or walk into each other’s masked areas.
- Play the timeline and trim or adjust as needed.

- Add sound effects or interactions between your clones using audio edits.
