HOW TO MAKE TEXT POP UP ON SCREEN FOR GIF FOR ONE FRAME -

To make text pop up on the screen for just one frame in a GIF, here’s how you can do it depending on your software:

🖥️ Using Photoshop

Open your GIF in Photoshop.
In the Timeline panel, go to the frame where you want the text to appear.
Create a text layer with your desired message.
In the layers panel, make sure the text layer is only visible on that one frame:
- Click the frame in the Timeline.
- Ensure the eyeball icon (👁) is turned on for the text layer only on that frame.
- Hide the text layer on all other frames.
Export your GIF:
- File > Export > Save for Web (Legacy) > GIF

🎥 Using After Effects + Photoshop (for exporting)

Add your GIF or create your animation in After Effects.
Add a text layer timed for just 1 frame using the timeline.
Export to Photoshop if needed to make a final GIF:
- File > Export > Add to Adobe Media Encoder or render an image sequence.
- Import that into Photoshop and export it as a GIF.

Upload your GIF to ezgif.com.
Go to the “Split” tool to break the GIF into frames.
Find the frame where you want to add text.
Use the “Add Text” tool on just that frame.
Reassemble the GIF in the “Combine” section.
