To take a screenshot (still frame) in Final Cut Pro X, follow these steps:
✅ Method 1: Export a Still Frame (High Quality)
This is the best way to take a high-resolution screenshot:
- Position the play head at the frame you want to capture.
- Go to the menu bar:
- File > Share > Save Current Frame.
- In the pop-up window:
- Set Format to Still Image.
- Choose a location and name for the file.
- Click Save.
- It will export the frame as a .png (or .jpg if you choose).
✅ Method 2: Use the Viewer Snapshot (Faster, Less Control)
- Place the play head on the frame you want.
- Press Command + Shift + 4 to use macOS’s screen selection tool.
- Drag over the Viewer window to capture that frame.
This method is faster but has a lower quality than Method 1.
